SAturday mornin' Neutral rollout departs Dos GRINGOZ booritoes AT 9,(sweriously, TRue DOPERz should be mainlining espresso long before that) Riderz, racerz, and whoever can throw their gear in a shuttle vehicle at DGB.. So yeah neutral rollout, think 3+ hrs of singletrack. yup. (hangovers still intact upon arrival at the race venue could likely be leveraged towards favorable start positions, bonus pts, etc etc.)

>3. So about that 3 hr. single track neutral rollout.. It'll be sweet, and the race will commence at the Cattle Creek Castle at the crack of noonthirtyish provided, the rollouterz have arrived.. Any interested non-competitors may take part in an off-road-one-speed/round of frisbee golf from the Stage 4 area back down to the house/start/finish area..
and of course, the AWards CerEmoney will devolve into a dance party suckaz...

i've done all the stompz proud, i was dubbed 'you've been robbed' after the competition to host which i won by a mile, (roller track sprint/whiskey shot/dance contest) but sswc is headed to napa, ca for 'political' reasons) but i got good and sauced and tagged the shit out of the place anyway, and we've been doin the right thing here at the world cup.. good to hear about the jerzee sure is good to see the stompaz rollin right along it has been absolutley fantastic for moi with a little r&r and such, sleepin in the woods crazy dreams, ridin about etc. etc. it is a little wet and rainy here in fort william but the downhill is today and we're pretty much camped on the track..grease slide more like it

I now live with three pro frisbee players, one of whom is my main man from b-town. I came home the other day and the Knife's "Heartbeats" was playing in the media room. Turns out it was HBO's "Entourage," which bores the hell from me. 200 bones

Some might think it odd to ride a bike 200 miles in one day. No big deal for a stompa or two. September 1 turned ot to be a good day, to get it on, for the annual stompa trans bone'dale, aspen, leadville, minturn, g-wood, bone'dale tour. It was black, then bright for a while then black again with some glimpses of pink. Well, we'll be gettin on it 'gain next year, i yi yi yiiiiiiii

SO yeah, we been in the pain cave for the last 40 hours or so.. and it's been cool i guess... Whitey and mcMc departed Edinburgh without a real particular sense of direction but managed to make it to the appropriate state forest (ha) where we crashed last night.. and then waking this morning to the understanding that we had, maybe 65 miles to go, and that we needed to make it in time for the comp to determine next years host at, maybe 15:00? Well we spent the day in the pain cave, whitey with his 40 - 16 touring set up and me with two kneez that make alot of real sad sounds, a true highlands headwind to the top of the pass, and aaanyway we're here.... and Whitey is off for round three so that we can be in the proper frame of mind to figure out where we're gonna stay tonight.. so that we can get back to drinking... oh yeah the best newz of all, that the race isn't tomorrow and the hosting comp isn#t tonight, hoooray anyway we're here after about 10 hours on the bike today touring sure is cool, on motorcycles... peas

Pro Doper Training

It seems that little Malcolm is hard at work training for the Doper Event - 2007. Here he can be seen bulking up for the obvious advantage of critical mass. Doping doesn't come easy, he spends several hours at his favorite locale, getting in prime shape for the events to come. So to all you little stompaz to be out there- remember, doping is a full time event. And having large robotic arms is a sure advantage when it comes to out of the saddle sprints.

So the West Coast StompaZ rolled out with the dead babyz 4 their famous downhill extravaganza. The race kicked off from a West Seattle shithole bar at the sound of a 1/4 stick of dynamite going off almost directly under a Lexus SuV, rolled through the post apocalyptic waste of Harbor Island (one of the most toxic places in the UsA, by the way.), down to the most lawless of neighborhoods Georgetown where a beer and heavy metal (cro-mo?) fueled party bike mosh/dance. Remember that scene from the second Matrix where the evil machines were coming and fat Laurence Fishburn was all like "PAAAARRRRRTTTYYYYYY!!!!!" it was mostly like that but with the best parts of Beyond Thunderdome thrown in for free. (Tina Turner in chain mail for instance.)

Porcupine Loop bici racin'

This weekend was Carbondale'z 200th Mountain Fair and the stompaz were in full force- well sorta. On sunday morning they rolled out on a number of goofy bikes to the top of the Porcupine Loop bike race and waited patiently for >

The first doper to come through, Michael Rasmusson Hayes III Esq. who was subsequently ordered off his bike, down to Darren with the baseball bat, and made to spin around the bat on his head. That was attempted, quite successfully, with the other 24 racers.

This guy was not in second place but he did have a rad old ride, 26"? with drop bars..

And a fairly typical batter, trying to make it around

For some, getting off the bike did not necessarily preclude spinning around the bat.

Two extremely talented stompaz, booby trapping the trail with water ballons and distracting riders with hi-pressure super soakin'. All in all it was a grand ol' way to spend sunday mornin' and the stomparillaz made sure that 'bonedale bike racin' didn't get too swerious..

Memorial Processional (STompN')

The Procession rolled out of HQ yesterday morning in fine form. When Damon arrived last spring, I had just spotted this sweet Panasonic 'Grand Touring' bike out behind the Defiance thrift store in Glenwood. He went and got it and rather quickly, thanks to Ajax Bike and SNort, we converted it to a fixxee and got some better bars on it. An absolutely appropriate steed, Damon loved the Panny immensely and the Stompaz thought it appropriate to take it on a processional ride. The Street Stomper, boasting not only his boombox and a bag full of whatnot, but also a fork mount, capably towed the Panny up to El Jebel for breakfast and back. On our way out of town we stopped to read the fresh Stomp memorial cairn in the middle of the bike path made by Barb. With a couple of Damon's playlists' on shuffle and a leisurely pace we'd like to think that Damon enjoyed an excellent Stompa Procession.

Hello helllloooo, thanks a ma-zillion for cold cold stompin all weekend long, the saturday night festivities were a delight for all, exspecially the cops , who were where?? Anyway just because that was the Justin n' Anna goin' away party doesn't mean it's gonna stop, I mean they're still here right?! And the keg hasn't even been kicked yet, weak.

So the schedule for the rest of the dayz.....


Tomorrow, MOnday Stompaz Road ride will take on the festive air, Riding to El Jebel for the 9:10 showing of Die Hard 4 !@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The ride will commence from the greater Anna and Justin land-area Cleveland and 8th... And we'll probably want to be riding by 8:30 for that our on bike festivities don't take the shape of -hammer fest- That being said we'll probably show up to start talkin smack at like, 6:30 so yeah - live free or die hard... that's MONDAY which you might call today..


Wednesday July 4th WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA 'MEricA!!!!! The 4th of july is gonna arrive at no appointed time but we will be spending the hottest parts of the day on our BIkeez riding up to Basalt and up the frying pan to Strawberry rock swim hole where we'll frollick away the afternoon.. returning to C'dale to adjourn for mojitos and The Boss on Michael Hayes' 'porch'... and the view of the fireworks afforded there.. That also happens to be next to the sweetest crystal river swimming hole so if after riding up the frying pan to swim and then back down, you're still hot, more swimming is available... the 4th picknickin' and chillin' stompa style figure we'll try to be convened and fairly organized before noon..

There will also be a STompa radio show on the evening of the 4th starting at 11 p.m.

Thursday NIght Single Speed ride is bringin' it all back home, cold cold riding mushie rock meeting at 6.... and on and on and on and on..

Feel free to rsvp about any bright ideas, like whose gonna tow what up the frying pan on the 4th, i mean should we be picknickin' cold cuts or draggin the grill, these are the questions people, that keep us on top..
